Also
called visco-elastic foam, memory foam was
developed years ago for NASA who needed a material that would
relieve
the pressure experienced by astronauts during lift off. For the
past 20 years memory foam has been used in the medical industry
to help patients find relief from and help prevent bed sores.
Memory foam is a pressure and temperature sensitive material that can
automatically adjust in order to completely support a sleeper.
Many people have found that its high density and body
temperature activated ability to mold to one's body greatly
relieve pressure points (such as your shoulders or your hips)
leading to a much more sound and comfortable sleep. Memory foam
will return to its original state upon removal of the heat and/or pressure
source.
The
Cerenity and Cerulean can be ordered with an
optional memory foam topper. The Celenia
comes standard with 3 inches of memory foam. Prices for the
optional memory foam topper can be found below, or on the pricing
page. |
